Adopted world wide by Law Enforcement Agencies, Pepper Spray or "Oleoresin Capsicum" is a less lethal force option that offers flexibility in a range of confrontational situations.
During our training, you will learn:
- When and how to correctly transition to use of OC;
- Primary contamination methods and how to minimize secondary and cross contamination risks;
- Correct after care and decontamination procedure;

- Psychological and physiological effects of OC; and
- Various delivery systems to deploy OC.
During training all students are offered the option of primary contamination, but it is not compulsory. However, each student will receive a secondary contamination of the OC to ensure that they:
- Better understand the administration of the aftercare process and post exposure management.
- Familiarise self with the effects of OC Spray if exposed.
- Reduce the likelihood of an officer panicking if he/she is accidentally exposed.
- Add credibility to any evidence you may give.
- To support your response to any complaint that may be lodged.
- Place importance on the countermeasures component of the training package.
